The Education Above All Foundation (EAA) is a private organization for public benefit established and existing under the laws of the State of Qatar. The EAA works to ensure equal access to education and harness the power of quality education for positive, sustainable, and inclusive change.
On 14 July 2020, ADB and the EAA signed a partnership framework agreement. It sets out the planned initial combined financial contribution of up to $100 million, following a 60 (ADB): 40 (EAA) cofinancing ratio, toward enrolling at least 320,000 out-of-school children in primary education.
In 2021, the EAA provided its first grant cofinancing worth $24.5 million for the Integrated Social Protection Development Program in Pakistan. The program will support the government’s efforts to implement the high priorities of its Ehsaas Program, which are social protection and poverty reduction, in a coordinated, cohesive, and systematic manner. The EAA was the first private sector partner to provide a grant cofinancing to a developing member country in Central and West Asia.
