Strategy 2030

ADB’s Strategy 2030 focuses on eradicating extreme poverty while working for a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific. Financing partnerships are vital to this effort, especially in addressing the impacts of the polycrisis starting with the COVID-19 pandemic and, more recently, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, food and fuel crises, natural hazards leading to disasters, and the rising inflation that hit poor and vulnerable people.

Addressing Remaining Poverty and Reducing Inequalities

As the pandemic slowly ebbs, impending crises and chronic problems have been exposed: massive learning and job losses, strained education and health systems, and vulnerable populations without adequate social protection.

Making Cities More Livable

Cities are often the engines of economic growth, attracting more and more people with opportunities to prosper. The work to make these cities more livable gets more essential and urgent with time.

Fostering Regional Cooperation and Integration

As Asia and the Pacific emerges from the global pandemic, regional cooperation efforts are putting economic and social development goals on track by drumming life into local and regional value chains and other forms of cross-border integration.
